The Single Sign edition of DC Media is designed for single display environments, however in many cases the Scheduling and Content Creation occurs on a laptop or desktop PC and a Media Player PC is used to play the content. This article describes how you can configure your software for this requirement.


Installing and Activating the software


Install DC Media Single Sign on the PC that will be used for Scheduling and Content Creation and then activate the software using your license key.  Install the DC Media Player software on your Media Player PC and activate the software using the same Single Sign license key.


Configuration


In the DC Media Scheduler application, select File… Configuration… Content Distribution… the following window is displayed:


Enter either the IP address or the computer name in the player address field. The default port number is 8448 and must match the port setting in the DS Agent software on the Player PC shown below:



Content Distribution


Click on the Distribute Content toolbar button. The Digital Signage Network dialog window is displayed. Select the playlist that you want to distribute, drag the playlist and drop it onto your Single Sign display. The playlist will appear in the outbox listing to the right of the window.



Click Upload to send the playlist to the player. When you click Upload, the file distribution window will appear:
