By default the DC Media Player will stop playback and exit when you press the Esc key, however some of the codecs used to display multimedia assets intercept key strokes before the Player application can receive them and this prevents the player from closing. This typically happens when the DC Media Player is showing PowerPoint content or a Website. To close the Player, press Alt+F4 or press Alt-Tab to select the Player application and then press the Esc key.
